Occupy MBTA protesters demonstrate on the steps of the State House.

April 4, 2012

The demonstration begins after the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority board votes for a package of service cuts and a 23% fair increase in an attempt to address the agency’s growing deficit. Some 40 demonstrators maintain a 24-hour-a-day vigil, although they do allow state police to move them across the street to Boston Common on April 9, 2012.
